Southington’s Permanent Medication Drop Box Information

The Medication Drop box is located in the lobby of the Southington Police Department for citizens to dispose of such medications on an ongoing basis, 24/7. ツClick here to watch our public service announcment.

Accepted Items:

Prescription Medications, Over-the-Counter Medications, Medication Samples,Medication for Pets, Liquid Medication in glass or sealed containers, Medicated Ointments and Lotions, pharmaceuticals and controlled substances, Inhalers, and Vitamins

Items NOT Accepted:

Personal Care Products, Needles/Lancets/Syringes, Thermometers, IV Bags/Empty Containers, Bloody/Infectious Waste, Hydrogen Peroxide Containers, Aerosol Cans

Directions:

Bring your unwanted/unused/expired medications to the Medication Drop Box located in the lobby of the Southington Police Department (69 Lazy Lane, Southington, CT 06489) 24 hours, 7 days a week.

When you arrive, you will find the drop box right next to the main entrance doors.ツツEmpty all contents into a zip lock bag (bags are provided at the drop box if needed) and drop into the box.

Empty medication bottles can be recycled, just be sure to cross off your personal information before disposing.
